Luxury US furnishings company RH Gallery is set to open a physical showroom in Sydney’s Double Bay at the end of 2025.

The company – previously known as Restoration Hardware – sells bespoke furniture, lighting, decor, textiles, bathroom wares and outdoor goods. It has more than 130 stores in the US and Canada.

According to Broadsheet, the company has lodged an application for a $140 million development which will span five levels and will boast a rooftop bar and an interior design studio with furnishings for purchase.

According to The Australian, the Double Bay store planned for Bay Street will open at the end of 2025. It is a partnership between the development company Fortis (which co-launched Neil Perry’s restaurant Margaret) and the US company.

In recent years it has diversified into the food & beverage space where customers can experience the decor and furniture it sells in its stores and create more of a destination.

The company is known for using entire buildings and mansions to display its pieces alongside contemporary art. Its clientele includes the likes of A-list celebrities such as Gwenyth Paltrow, Kendall Jenner and Nina Dobrev.
