At PTG, we take immense pride in our team members’ achievements, and today, we are thrilled to celebrate, Justin Nickles, Vice President of Finance. Justin’s exceptional leadership and contributions have earned him a well-deserved place on Commercial Integrators’ prestigious list of 40 Influencers Under Forty in 2023.
Justin Nickles’ journey at PTG began in 2011 when he joined our company’s purchasing department. Over the years, he demonstrated unwavering commitment and an insatiable drive for excellence. It wasn’t long before he transitioned to our IT department, showcasing his adaptability and proficiency in diverse roles.
In 2019, Justin took on a new challenge as Director of Accounting, Purchasing, and Distribution and not long after became the Vice President of Finance in 2022, a role perfectly aligned with his skill set and academic background. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Michigan – Dearborn, Justin was well-prepared to lead our financial operations.
Justin’s journey to becoming Vice President of Finance has been marked by remarkable achievements. In 2021, he earned the prestigious Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, a testament to his dedication to professional growth.
However, it was during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic that Justin truly shone. His astute financial management skills came to the fore as he adeptly utilized government programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) to safeguard PTG’s stability and protect our valued workforce.
Under Justin’s financial stewardship, PTG has remained debt-free, showcasing his prudent financial management. Moreover, his strategic initiatives have propelled PTG’s Dunn & Bradstreet score to record highs, a testament to his unwavering commitment to our company’s success.

Justin’s excellence has been recognized internally at PTG through his many awards over the years; 2015 Employee of the Year, 2016 Team of the Year, 2017 Presidential Award, 2020 Team of the Year, 2022 Presidential Award, 2022 Leader of the Year, 2023 CEO Award.
