“We are beyond excited to bring our much-loved H&M HOME concept to our new centre:mk Milton Keynes store. Customers can enjoy our curated collections and spaces where style, creativity and culture are celebrated, ultimately elevating our customer experience. We cannot wait to welcome our Milton Keynes customers to the new store on April 1st at 10am.” said H&M UK & IE Head of Construction & Facilities, Gemma Leach.

The move to centre:mk marks an upsize and relocation from H&M’s current store located in Midsummer Place, which will close its doors on March 31st. The new store’s launch also comes with the highly anticipated introduction of H&M Home, which is set to elevate the brand’s presence and offering in the home décor space.

H&M’s decision to relocate and upsize to centre:mk has been welcomed by Kevin Duffy, centre:mk’s Centre Director, who said: “H&M’s decision to relocate to centre:mk while upsizing, demonstrates the centre’s alignment with H&M’s agenda and its ability to deliver significant performance. As a centre, we consistently outperform national benchmarks due to the appeal of one of the strongest anchor line-ups in the UK. H&M and H&M Home further bolsters centre:mk’s appeal to consumers from across the region, and we’re delighted the store can finally welcome centre:mk visitors.”

Sustainability is at the heart of H&M’s business model and the values of circular and climate positive fashion will be built into the foundation of the new store. The store will offer H&M’s Garment Collection and Recycling service, enabling customers to drop off unwanted clothing and textiles from any brand and in any condition.

The move to centre:mk is part of H&M’s wider expansion plans, which have seen the brand recently open its largest store in the world in Berlin, as well as the expansion of its home offering in markets such as France, Spain and the US. The brand is also exploring new retail channels, such as its recent partnership with online marketplace Zalando to offer sustainable fashion rental services.

H&M’s commitment to sustainability has been widely recognized, with the brand recently ranking first in Fashion Revolution’s 2021 Fashion Transparency Index, which measures companies’ social and environmental transparency. The brand has also set ambitious goals to become fully circular and climate positive by 2030.
