Parisian-born, female-owned hair salon Myriam K has teamed up with Formroom to create a unique and luxurious space for their new salon located in the heart of Dubai. Catering to the most discerning and fashion-forward clientele, the project aimed to adapt Myriam’s Paris salon concept to the distinct demands of the Dubai and UAE market, all while maintaining the essence of French ‘savoir-faire’.

Formroom conducted comprehensive research to profile target consumers and analyse competing Dubai salons, positioning Myriam K as an exciting and fresh presence in the market. The salon’s design breaks away from Dubai’s predictably ‘luxe’ aesthetic, offering a show-stopping blend of social media-worthy spaces, versatile service areas, and a unique range of treatment options.

The floorplan incorporates a DJ booth, an NFT retail area, a 24/7 shampoo vending machine, a hair extension display wall, and various treatment areas, including a photobooth moment. Ensuring that treatment areas remain hidden from the shop’s front view, the design respects the modesty preferences of Myriam K’s customers.

Myriam K’s interior is a sensory playground, featuring a bold palette of pinks and greens, along with on-trend materials such as terrazzo, mosaic tiling, illuminated arches, and ribbing. Opalescent ombre sheets provide a light and fresh feel, while neon lighting and pastel seating add a touch of modernity.

Formroom also developed updated branding for Myriam K, reflecting the brand’s Parisian, feminine, and playful personality. Drawing inspiration from iconic French fashion houses, the new branding is designed for use across all touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
