One of the UK’s fastest-growing health brands, The Turmeric Co.,(www.theturmeric.co), has announced a nationwide deal with health food shop Holland & Barrett.
The business is launching an exclusive and new ashwagandha-based shot with the retailer.
The brand was founded in 2018 by former Premier League footballer, Thomas ‘Hal’ Robson-Kanu, to fill a gap in the market for a product that was supported by expert knowledge and research to positively impacted people’s health, whilst only using fresh, plant-based ingredients.
From Monday 19 February, The Turmeric Co., will expand its range of functional shots and see the latest Raw Turmeric and Ashwagandha Shot (60ml RRP £2.20) become available exclusively in Holland & Barrett stores. The deal will also see The Turmeric Co.’s existing best seller Raw Turmeric and Ginger Shot (60ml RRP £2.20) hit the shelves.
The new Raw Turmeric and Ashwagandha shot uses The Turmeric Co.’s award winning base formula with 15g of turmeric per bottle. Focussed on providing premium mind and focus support, each shot contains vitamin D, zinc and magnesium to aid the normal function of the heart and immune system while also containing ashwagandha to help regulate mood and reduce stress.
This latest retail launch for the brand follows a period of huge growth and success for The Turmeric Co. In 2020, it saw an increased revenue of 800% and in 2023, achieved investment for growth from notable figures including Rubicon Drinks. This month, the brand launched its first ever TV advert thanks to winning support from Channel 4 x Lloyd’s Bank’s ‘Black in Business’ initiative.
The launch of an ashwagandha-based shot follows a huge increase in demand for the spice amongst consumers. Ashwagandha was Holland & Barrett’s best-selling supplement in 2023 and recent studies have shown that use reduces cortisol and reduces feelings of stress.
