Melbourne’s Lune Croissanterie is set to open its second premium outlet in Sydney’s Martin Place next year.
Established in 2012 by Kate Reid as a tiny hole-in-the-wall shop, the brand sells bread, pastries and coffee which have grown in popularity.
Lune Croissanterie had planned to open its first Sydney flagship on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst this year, however, due to delays in heritage approvals, the opening has been postponed until next year.
According to Broadsheet, the brand has ‘production stores’ where all the raw pastry production happens with a full-time kitchen team while the CBD ‘satellite’ store will sell products.
Meanwhile, the brand has secured a new 100sqm site in the Metro Martin Place integrated train station which already secured a mix of fashion and retail offerings.
Colliers’ Michael Tuck who arranged the deal along with Jo Windybank, said the location is set to become a “vibrant destination for the best-in-class retailers”.
“This prime location, with its activated street frontages and high foot traffic, is the perfect setting for Lune Croissanterie’s venue. We are proud to have played a part in bringing this iconic brand to the heart of the CBD.”
