Cazcabel Tequila has announced the latest addition to their range, Añejo, an aged tequila with a rich flavour profile.
The new Añejo Tequila joins our family estate produced range of award-winning, additive-free tequilas, all of which are made using only the finest quality 100% blue weber agave grown in the family’s agave fields for a minimum of seven years. For Añejo, the agave is harvested at maturity and fermented before going through a 14-month ageing process, where it is rested in ex-Tennessee whiskey barrels made of American oak.
This unique process gives Añejo Tequila a rich flavour profile with notes of cinnamon, vanilla and dry cacao that are warming with a smooth, dry finish that mean its best sipped neat or over ice or enjoyed in a Caballo* cocktail for those who prefer their Tequila mixed.
Nate Sorby, Cazcabel’s Global Brand Ambassador, comments on the launch: “Appreciation of tequila is evolving across the World and increasingly people appreciate the experience of sipping tequila to savour the flavour. Introducing Añejo, our new aged tequila with distinct notes of cacao and cooked agave, that is best enjoyed neat or over ice. It is a fantastic addition to the Cazcabel range and the perfect introduction for those wanting to try aged tequila.”
Cazcabel is led by the Vazquez Family with four generations of agave farming expertise to our ‘field to glass’ philosophy. Our family estate-owned and produced range of tequilas use only the finest quality 100% blue weber agave, grown for a minimum of seven years before making their way into the premium range of Blanco, Reposado and Añejo additive-free tequilas.
