Lululemon (Vancouver, British Columbia) has filed a lawsuit against Peloton (New York) that alleges the exercise bike maker is selling knock-offs of its sports bras and leggings, CNN Business reports.

The suit, filed on Monday in the Central District of California, seeks monetary damages for Peloton’s creation of what Lululemon calls “copycat products.” Days earlier, Peloton sued the Canadian apparel maker asking a court to declare it had not infringed on any of Lululemon’s intellectual property patents.

In its complaint, Lululemon said Peloton “intended to closely copy Lululemon’s proprietary designs and pass off its goods as Lululemon’s high quality products to misappropriate the immense goodwill that Lululemon has spent enormous time, effort, and expense to cultivate.”

Peloton maintains customers would not have trouble distinguishing between the companies’ products and that Lululemon’s designs are too “obvious” to merit patent protection.
