GNC (Pittsburgh) has named Nate Frazier as its new EVP, Chief Operating Officer, and Karlyn Mattson as its new Chief Merchandising Officer, according to a company press release. Both will begin in their new roles August 9 and will report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer Josh Burris.

Frazier was most recently GNC’s SVP of Operations and joined the company in 2017 originally as the VP of Franchise Operations. Mattson joins GNC from Zappos (Las Vegas), where she held the role of General Manager of Merchandising Strategy, New Business Development and Women’s Fashion. She’s previously worked for Macy’s (New York) and Target (Minneapolis).

Josh Burris says, “I am thrilled to announce both Nate and Karlyn’s appointments. Nate has been a catalyst of our retail turnaround and we know that Karlyn’s wealth of consumer-centric merchandising expertise will result in a better experience for our consumers.  These moves will further strengthen GNC’s executive leadership team and accelerate our business transformation as we work to take our iconic brand to new heights.”
