Neri&Hu creates "wooden hut" and "cave-dwelling" interiors for Shanghai stores

Chinese studio Neri&Hu has completed two retail spaces for Shanghai fabric and fashion company Jisifang, using wood and concrete to evoke "a more primitive state of being". The two adjacent stores are located at Panlong Tiandi development in Shanghai. A double-pitch sloped ceiling was clad with the same concrete as the walls.

Neri&Hu highlights simplicity and functionality at Shanghai art gallery

The gallery sits on the ground floor of a mixed-use tower at Rockbund, a development amidst the historical Bund in Shanghai along the Huangpu River, where a series of restored colonial art deco buildings are located. When opened, the entrance of the gallery is revealed, with the outer sliding door framing the window display next to it.
