French designer Pierre Yovanovitch has opened his first US showroom and gallery in Manhattan's Chelsea neighbourhood, displaying over 80 pieces from his own furniture brand. Other designs on show include the new Callis Table Lamp, the Roze Dining Table, the Arthur Sofa and the Artemis Rug.

French shoe brand Nodaleto has chosen Miami as the location of its first US store, which New York studio Rafael de Cárdenas designed with sci-fi-influenced red and chrome interiors. Rafael de Cárdenas based the interior on mid-century French design, as a homage to the influence this movement had on sets created for sci-fi movies.

Designer Gary Card has given London's LN-CC boutique a redesign that includes a sci-fi-looking wooden tunnel and a room "shaped like the inside of a foot". Card , who designed the original interior of the east London store in 2011 , said the challenge for him was using the knowledge he has accumulated since then to create something new.

Fashion brand Balenciaga has transformed its Mount Street store in London , creating a maximalist look to launch its Le Cagole collection by blanketing the interior in bright pink faux fur. Shelves, displays, floors, seating, and even racks in the open-plan kiosks are lined in pink.". The pop-up offers limited edition bags.

Parisian studio RDAI has designed a store on Tokyo 's prestigious Omotesando street for fashion house Hermès , which was designed to evoke aspects of Japanese nature and culture. Small window displays are incorporated into the patterned cladding, along with lighting that illuminates the stonework at night.
